DCC Installation in a Corgi® PCC
by Charles Pitts
Some DCC installation stuff to ponder: The info can be generalized and applied to most any car with a headlight and a light bar. See the attached scan of the wiring diagram. The reversing headlight feature is not used on this PCC since I don't want it to reverse. The decoder is another NCE D13SRJ and after adjusting the kick start rate and kick intensity (CVs 116 & 117) and the start voltage (CV 2) it ran extremely slow and smooth as velvet. The headlight and interior lights stay on in DC mode if they are turned on in DCC mode as we have discussed. I can pull up behind a car and stop 2 feet from the rear anti-climber. [Editors note: the truck is from Q-Car.]
